Burning Japan 2021 Will Be Held!

Thank you for waiting!
Burning Japan 2021 will be held this summer.
It has been a year and a half since the typhoon cancellation in the autumn of 2019, and this is the first Burning Japan in a long while.
In 2020, Burning Man in the United States and regional burns around the world were all cancelled. In 2021, regional burns have begun to return, with infection-control measures in place. As Japan’s regional burn, Burning Japan is starting again in a new form.
In 2021, Burning Japan will be a small gathering of about 100 people, for people who live in Japan, at a new venue. Yugawara Onsen Campground in Kanagawa is a campground with good train access and water on site. It is a new site that opened in 2020, and it is close to a JR station. Compared with the previous venue, a remote field up in the mountains and far from town, there is less of a survival element, and the hurdle to taking part is lower. We hope that energy can go into art and gifting instead.
Ticket sales are planned to start in late May. In particular, we are preparing a priority discount sale for people who bought tickets to the cancelled 2019 event.
We look forward to the day we can see you at Sky Island (the venue).
Dates: Thursday, July 22 (a holiday) through Sunday, July 25, four days

Place: Yugawara Onsen Campground (Kanagawa)
Access: 10 minutes by car from Yugawara Station on the JR Tokaido Line
