Participation
A ticket already makes you a participant. From there, theme camps, art, volunteers, and Builders' Week before gates are how the city gets built. The 2027 crew starts in January.
A camp that builds a work or a room together. Sound, food, a workshop, or just a living room. In 2026 a registration form issued discount codes. That form belongs to a closed season. 2027 registration will be announced on Discord from January.
The art grant started small in 2022. Gifter tickets fed the Big Art Grant. The 2026 art report is in the news. The 2027 call is not published. Only what was built to burn gets burned. This is not an event that burns every sculpture. Flame effects need a Fire Pass.
The official camp for people who do not have the gear. Shifts were exchanged for a tent, a kitchen, and a hand getting there from the station. It suits people arriving alone. 2027 capacity and shifts will be in the guide when we update it.
The week before public gates, when theme camps and art put the ground down. In 2026 that was 3–7 October, with gates at noon on the 8th. 2027 dates are not set. Heavy load-in has happened in this week.
The association says most roles are fine if you have not done them before. What they ask for is energy, and care for this community. Work starts in January 2027.
