Ticket sales for Burning Japan 2021 are starting.

This year’s Burning Japan is at a new venue, and on the smaller scale of about 100 people. We need to limit the number of people and vehicles, so every participant, including organizers, buys a ticket. One parking pass is also required per car. Parking is limited, so please use public transit. Many things differ from the previous venue, so please read the event outline and check the new campground in the FAQ before you buy.

  • On Peatix (the ticket service), on sale at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2. Online sales only.
    https://burningjapan-2021.peatix.com/
  • There are no in-person sales at Meetups, and no tickets sold on the day of the event.
  • Admission is 15,000 yen, or 12,000 yen in the priority discount sale for people who bought 2019 tickets. 100 tickets in total.
  • Parking passes are 3,000 yen, 30 passes. Only if you buy two or more admission tickets.
    • Motorcycles and bicycles do not need a parking pass.
    • If you are one person and want to build a theme camp, or in a similar case, please buy one admission ticket first and then talk with us.
  • Children under 12 are free. Anyone under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian.

Please also note that, as before, we will not refund ticket fees at all, even if the event is postponed or cancelled.

Priority discount sale for people who bought 2019 tickets

Burning Japan 2019 was cancelled because Typhoon No. 19 was approaching. We could not see a way back from the venue’s conditions and the typhoon damage, and neither a partial event nor a postponement was possible. It was not only the organizers who had to swallow that. We have not forgotten that it was a burden on every participant who had prepared in all sorts of ways and had planned to come from far away. Burning Japan’s costs are covered entirely by ticket sales, and the tickets were non-refundable, so we did not give refunds. When we decided to cancel, we were on the verge of using up the budget, but later we were given a discount on the cancellation fee. We want to return that to the community, so we are holding a 2021 priority ticket sale for people who bought 2019 tickets.

  • Who: people who bought admission tickets online on Peatix in 2019, and people who bought them in person at a Meetup. An email about the priority discount sale will arrive on May 31, at the email address you registered when you bought the ticket.
  • When: on sale at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2 (you can buy 12 hours early). Enter the password from the announcement email to open the ticket page.
  • How to buy: please use the discount code when you buy. The discount code is valid for two weeks. https://burningjapan-2021.peatix.com/

If your email address has changed since you bought the 2019 ticket, or if the email does not arrive on May 31 because of some problem, please inquire through Contact. Questions about tickets and about taking part are also accepted on Discord.
