Theme Camps 2026
Under this year's theme, Night Parade of a Thousand Demons (Senki Yagyo), a wide range of theme camps are coming together to build the city.
This list isn’t exhaustive since camp registration is still open. (Registration form: https://forms.gle/7L7a6VNeu2TLDTso7)
It’s not rare either for a group of burners to form an improvised theme camp on the spot.

2026 New Camps
🎨🔥🎭🛋️ Art Sanctuary
A 4-panel structure where four artists will perform live painting throughout the Burn. Inside, people gather to drink tea, enjoy music, chat, and watch art come to life. As different perspectives intersect, new stories emerge. That’s Art Sanctuary.
🎨🔥🎭 Agni
Fire performance and flow arts workshops, plus UV body painting, with fuel brought in to run everything safely.
🎭 Bunkei Camp — An Experiment in Life Without Order —
A small theme camp creating a space through Asian culture and bodily awareness, where participants can loosely connect and tune into their own senses. It offers a Chinese meditation and mindfulness experience, and a Mongolian shamanism experience through shaman drum sound and body awareness.
🎵🎨🍸🔥🛋️ Utopia Camp
A circular village centered around self-built kei-campers and a live stage sound system, with mostly chill music for a relaxed space. With sauna lovers on the team, a decorated sauna themed around Night Parade of a Thousand Demons (Senki Yagyo) is planned.
**🎭🛋️ The Frog and Rabbit’s Tea Party **
Two performers dressed as the Frog and Rabbit from the classic Choju-giga scrolls host an outdoor tea ceremony while live electric piano and violin fill the air, inviting everyone nearby into a non-ordinary world.
Burning Japan Organization Camp
🎨🔥 Temple Camp
On Saturday night, the Temple will burn. This year, the temple features a Shinto shrine on top.

🎵🎨🍲🍸🔥🎭🛋️ Space Disco
Somewhere out in the fields of Tsumagoi, a disco from outer space appears. This crew of creators, DJs, travelers, and even professional BBQ experts has built a UFO-shaped DJ booth, a roaming robot stage, a shisha lounge, a sauna, and serious BBQ in past editions, and they’re back for more. Good-vibes people welcome to join the crew.
🎵🍲🍸🔥❤️🛋️ Hinekuramura (Hinekuramura)
A village built from four theme camps coming together. Inside the temporary city that Burning Japan creates for a few days, this village offers a cozy corner with a daytime play area and food for kids, evenings of gentle music, fireworks and firelight, food and drinks shared freely, and tent spaces where participants can choose, safely and freely, to be naked and step outside the ordinary.
- ❤️ Naked Island (in Hinekuramura)
A LOVE&PEACE naked space tucked inside a hidden, enclosed safe area. - 🍸🔥 Takibi Bar (in Hinekuramura)
A bar for drinks around the fire. - 🍲 KiKiKi (in Hinekuramura)
A food camp with a dedicated space and workshops for kids. - 🎵🛋️ Step in Life (in Hinekuramura)
A lounge-style sound camp. No large sound system, just food, drinks, and music to chill to by the fire, without needing to talk.
