Burning Japan 2023 Has Ended!

Blessed with perfect weather, this year's Burning Japan ended safely after the event days of November 2–5 and pack-out on the 6th.
From the temple build that began the week before, Auto Camp MOGURA looked after us for a long time. Making the most of the great advantage of holding the event in the same place, and helped by solid facilities inside the venue, it was a year crowded not only with participants' camp life but with theme camps and art.

This year's participants numbered 350, more than 100 above last year. People using the first-timer discount and people who bought international tickets together made up more than 50 percent, so the community gained many new members. During the event, injuries and illness were handled only with first aid in the medical tent, or by people going to a medical facility on their own. There were no emergency transports. We have not received reports of COVID infection after the event, but there were cases of influenza, so if you feel unwell please get tested early.

During the event we were asked many times, "Were there a lot of people from overseas this time?" and "Where did most participants come from?" The first half of this feedback form also serves as a participant survey. A rough picture of where people came from, and what kinds of people were there, will help us prepare the next event. Even if you cannot think of a comment for the feedback, we would be glad if you sent in the survey portion!
