Burning Japan Welcomes Media Coverage
Shown in English. Dates and “on sale” lines belong to the day the notice was published.
Burning Japan holds to the idea of Decommodification (non-commercialization).
That is why we do not run commercial ads or sponsor ads for the event, and we do not pay to advertise products or services to participants.
At the same time, coverage of Burning Japan itself is very welcome.
Newspapers, magazines, web media, radio, television, podcasts, interviews: the medium does not matter.
The other day a local FM station reached out, and we appeared as guests to talk about Burning Japan.
We are not trying to "sell" Burning Japan through advertising. We do believe it matters that people learn, through the media, what kind of place it actually is, who gathers there, and what they make.
"What is Burning Japan?"
"What kind of people take part?"
"Why do you build the event yourselves?"
We would be glad if that helps anyone with those questions get to know the culture and the thinking behind Burning Japan.
Inquiries about coverage are welcome anytime.
Interviews, articles, photo and video reporting, radio, television, web media, podcasts: please get in touch.
