Burning Japan 2022 Has Ended!
Shown in English. Dates and “on sale” lines belong to the day the notice was published.
The event ran November 3–6 and closed safely, without a major accident. With a powerful burn, many theme camps, and full use of an appealing new venue, we think it became a burn unlike any before. During the short time we had to prepare, Auto Camp MOGURA took very good care of us.
The total number of participants this time was 224. Every injury or illness on site could be handled with first aid in the medical tent, so no one was transported to a medical facility. Two people reported COVID infections after the event, though, so if you feel unwell please get tested early. If anyone else finds they were infected with the coronavirus, please contact us right away.
At the venue check on November 7 there was small trash, leftover firewood, and several burn scars under fire pits. The organizers are quickly planning a cleanup camp and will visit again so we can carry Leave No Trace all the way through. For the next event, we want to share with all of you, in more detail and in advance, concrete ways to "leave no trace."
Event photos are shared in "photos" on Discord or in a Google photo album.

For lost items, the organizers and the people who picked them up are uploading photos to Discord, so please look at the "lost and found" category.

What we regret is that our hope of talking all night at Center Camp, with as many participants as we could gather, about next year's Burning Japan did not come true. We are planning an online meetup toward the end of the month, so if you joined this year with a strong feeling of "next year I want to do this!", please join!
