Do Not Forget Your Heat Precautions!

Shown in English. Dates and “on sale” lines belong to the day the notice was published.

We sent infection-control guidelines together with the survival guide, and heat precautions after the rainy season ends are essential too!
The theme camp area in particular gets plenty of sun and is very hot during the day. Day after day, Yugawara is forecast to see highs above 30°C, and at times humidity near 90%.

Things you must bring

  • Drink fluids often. Bring enough to drink, not counting alcohol, for 3 liters per person per day.
  • For infection control, passing bottles and cans around is prohibited. Please bring your own cup.
  • Ice is not sold on site. Restock when you go out for a bath or to shop.
    • Parking other than “inside the theme camps” and “the narrow path on the left” may be entered and left freely. (See the back of the parking pass for how the lots are laid out.)

Good to have

  • A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a cooling towel, and other gear for staying cool
  • Extra tarps, sun shades, and anything else that can make shade

Can I drink the water at the water points? I heard it is stream water. Can I swim?
The water points on site are taps fed by water drawn from a stream. It is not municipal water, and we announce that it is drinkable after boiling. (It is good water, though…) No stream runs through the venue, so there is nowhere to swim.

May I sleep in my car?
Sleeping in a vehicle is allowed only inside the reserved venue beyond the entry GATE. It is fine if your car or camper is parked in “inside the theme camps” or “the narrow path on the left,” which you cannot enter or leave during the event. The other lots sit next to the outside of the venue, so please do not sleep in your car there, partly to avoid complaints about idling.

  • At entry we confirm where you will stay and whether you plan to come and go during the event, and then we direct you to a lot.

Is the solo camping area hot too?
The solo camping area is in the woods. Most of it is in shade, and it is cooler than the theme camp area. There are more mosquitoes because of that, so bring insect repellent and medicine for bites.

Construction of center camp also began on the 19th. Members who stayed overnight say the nights are cool and comfortable. Preparing so that you can enjoy the night more than the daytime is one way to get through the heat.
