We Are Holding an Online Meetup!

Burning Japan has usually held a Meetup every month before the event, but we cannot do that this year, so we are holding an online Meetup every Thursday night.

When: Thursday, May 27, from 9:30 p.m.
Timetable: from 9:30, an introduction to Burning Japan for first-timers; from 10:00, an organizers’ meeting
Where: the Burning Japan Discord server
Participant Discord invite: https://discord.gg/FsjYuKnXNF

Discord is a multi-channel text chat, like Slack, aimed more at hobbies. You can look in at any time, not only during the Meetup, so join from the community invite whenever you like. There is a “Meetup_English” channel for English speakers. In the voice channel “Meetup_voice,” from 9:30, we will explain what kind of event Burning Japan is for people joining for the first time, with photos and videos from the venue visit. It is not a video chat, so you do not need to show your face. People who only listen are as welcome as people who talk. If you have a question, please ask. From 10:00 it becomes a meeting for the organizers, so first-timers should come early.

Since we announced that 2021 will happen, more than 120 people have joined Discord. Getting ready is the fun part of Burning Japan, so jump in before the event date arrives!
