💬 Questions from participants, and the answers

Below is a summary of the questions asked that day.

Q. Can I perform as a DJ?
A. Yes. There are the following two ways.

  • Join an existing sound camp (🔊🍛gumbo🇺🇸, 🔊fck!_camp, 🔊berber, 🔊space-disco) as a member or as a guest
  • Bring your own small speakers and present as a theme camp
  • Join a theme camp that is bringing speakers

Q. Can I drive a vehicle set up for sleeping in the car close to the venue?
And how do I transport a large tent?

A. You cannot drive in close to the venue. You need to carry things in on foot from the parking lot.

Q. Is there a supermarket near the venue?
A. There is not one near the venue (around Tsumagoi Ranch). Around the nearest station, Manza-Kazawaguchi, there is a 7-Eleven and a supermarket.

Q. I don't know what I want to make, but I want to make something. Is it all right if I have no DIY experience?
A. It is all right even with no experience! At the start, the feeling of "I kind of want to try making something" is enough. Joining a theme camp or an art project as an assistant is also a good idea. It might give you a hint.

Q. Does the bus to the venue ever fill up?
A. It is a 50-passenger bus, and it has never been full in the past.

Q. Was Hacha, who has DJed in the past, in a guest slot?
A. They probably performed as a member of the "fck!_camp" team. No one is invited to the event itself as a guest. Everyone, including the organizers, buys a ticket and takes part.

Q. About how many staff are there?
A. I carry the heaviest workload. The core organizers who work throughout the year total four people, and there are another four or five specialists, such as art builders. During the event (from Builder's Week through LNT Day), dozens of volunteers join.

Q. I want to know the details of emergency response.

  • About the AED: Rental units are used, and the expiration date and the state of the charge are always checked.
  • Past incidents: There are records for years when a first-aid station was operated. There are cases of emergency transport for burns, fractures, acute enteritis, and similar.
  • Serious drug incidents: There have been no serious cases involving opioids or similar so far. It is based on the principle of "Radical Self Reliance" (self-responsibility).

Q. How many vehicles can park?
A. There is space for 150 regular cars and 15 camper vans.

Q. This is my first time. What is a good way to get to the venue?
A. Train plus the local bus is a good way. See the Survival Guide for details.

Q. If I come by motorcycle, do I need a parking pass?
A. You do not need a parking pass. Park in an open space in the parking lot. Motorcycles cannot be brought inside the event site, because participants who stop by may sit on them or knock them over.

Q. Do we take our trash home?
A. Basically, yes, take it home. If you truly cannot, the organizers (CARPORT) will take it for a fee.
Do not throw trash away at the 7-Eleven in front of the station, even if you bought it there. At highway service areas and parking areas, sort correctly and throw away only what you are allowed to throw away.
