This time the event is at a new venue and limited to 200 people. Please read the survival guide carefully and check the venue, and what you need to prepare, as early as you can. Along with the tickets and parking passes, a survival guide, infection-control guidelines, and a participant pledge are enclosed for each person.
Infection control
We put together guidelines, separate from the survival guide, on what precautions to take at Burning Japan. They are basically the same as what is posted in the FAQ on the official site, but please read them before you leave. Besides the usual points for taking part in an event — wearing a mask, sanitizing your hands, and not crowding together — we also listed things particular to Burning Japan. We do not want a long list of requests to tie you up and drain your spirits. We hope it gives you a chance to think about what you can do to enjoy the event while thoroughly looking after one another so that we do not pass infection along.
The infection-control guidelines include a printed chart for recording your temperature for the 10 days before the event. Please manage your health carefully. Calling off your attendance if you are worried about how you feel is also a contribution to the whole community. If you cannot attend because you have contracted the coronavirus, we will refund the full amount, so please contact us. We do not accept refunds or returns for any other reason.
Please also read the participant pledge in advance and fill in your contact details beforehand. At entry we will take your temperature, confirm that it is 37.5°C or below, and then ask you to sign.
About whether the event will be held
If conditions for holding the event change for any of a number of reasons — weather, disaster, a government request such as travel limits tied to a state of emergency, and so on — we will always post on the official site and the Facebook page. Please check them.
